The STD Project is here to bring about change. We are a non profit sexually transmitted disease prevention multimedia marketing and production agency. Organized in 2008 by health care professionals who saw STDs skyrocketing and ineffective abstinence and prevention groups not connecting with the target audience, our agency took the problem to a former creative director of a New York ad agency. He agreed to donate his services as well as directing us to others who would otherwise be unavailable or cost prohibitive. Our materials combine mass media techniques of communication with medical science. Our campaigns have already seen results. The youth who have seen our materials are receptive and appreciate the information. The current state of the economy combined with chaotic world events will only increase risky sexual practices, as people are moved more towards no commitment sex with less regard for the future
Our goal is to integrate the dangers of unprotected sex into popular culture and encourage responsible sexual practices and abstinence when appropriate.
